Mission history: The Japanese diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa was established in 1936, originally as a legation. In 1958, the legation changed status to an embassy.
Opening hours
- The embassy is open Mondays to Fridays between 08:30 and 12:30 and 13:30 and 17:15. The offices of the embassy may be closed on Ethiopian and Japanese public holidays. Please contact the embassy to confirm opening hours.
