Relations between Canada and the United States

The Canadian consulate general is one of 1689 foreign representations in the United States, one of 318 foreign representations in the city of New York and one of 232 Canadian diplomatic and consular representations located abroad.

In addition to Canada's consulate general in New York, Canada has 16 other representations in the United States. These representations include an embassy in Washington, D.C., consulates in Anchorage, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle as well as a trade office in Houston.

The United States has eight representations in Canada. These representations include an embassy in Ottawa and consulates in Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
